Cancellation mechanism: self serve online
Automatic renewal: see terms belowRenews automatically until cancelled. Subscriptions (Membership Services, and the same recurring-billing language governs the Success by Sesame / Skincare Rx program subscriptions) auto-charge the payment method on file each period "until you cancel" (ToS Section 4, Membership Program). If Sesame raises a subscription's recurring fee, it commits to giving "advance notice" and letting the member choose to continue or cancel before the new price takes effect.
Cancellation terms as published: Two self-serve mechanisms published, plus a manual fallback. Web: go to sesamecare.com > Account > Visits or Programs > select the program/visit > "Cancel Appointment" or "Cancel Program." Mobile app: Home tab > View Program Details > Program Information tab > Subscription Details > Manage Subscription > Cancel Program (for subscriptions); or Visits tab > select visit > Visit Details > Cancel This Visit (for a single appointment). Fallback for either: email support@sesamecare.com or call +1 (877) 947-6411 (faq.md, terms-of-service.md). Subscriptions (Membership Services, and by extension Success by Sesame / Skincare Rx program subscriptions) can be canceled "at any time up to forty-eight (48) hours before the applicable renewal processing date." After cancellation, access continues through the end of the then-current billing period; the subscription does not renew again, and no prorated refund is given for the remainder of that period. Separately, the Success by Sesame weight-loss program has its own stated rule: full refund only if canceled at least 3 hours before the FIRST/initial visit; no refund for that first month once the initial visit has occurred.
Refund policy as published: Per-visit refunds (faq.md / membership-perks.md, consistent across both): full refund if a virtual appointment is canceled at least 3 hours before its scheduled time, an in-person appointment at least 24 hours before, or (for labs/imaging/other appointments without a fixed date/time) within 10 days of purchase once the provider confirms the appointment did not take place. No refunds for: patient no-shows; cancellation requests inside those windows; requests to prescribe a specific medication or complete specific paperwork that is declined; surgical procedures with confirmed scheduling; labs not completed within 7 days of purchase; any refund request made more than 10 days after the scheduled visit. Subscription refunds: monthly/annual Membership Services subscriptions are not eligible for a prorated refund upon cancellation (access simply continues to the end of the paid period). Multi-month subscription plans (e.g. Success by Sesame's 3/6/12-month tiers) are prepaid at a discount; canceling before the committed term ends causes the fee already paid to be re-rated at the standard month-to-month price for each month actually used, with only any remaining balance refunded — per ToS, "in some cases the adjusted value of services used may equal or exceed the amount originally paid, in which case no refund will be issued." Prescription refill services: "the initial prescription cannot be cancelled or refunded"; refills can be canceled if not yet processed for delivery.
Trial terms as published: "From time to time Sesame may offer free trials related to Membership Services for a specific period of time." Only the membership subscription fee itself is waived/discounted during any trial period — "all other associated fees (i.e. provider visits, labs, etc.) will be charged during the Trial Period." No standard/default trial length is published; terms are set per-offer at the time a specific trial is run. If a trial converts to paid, the member can cancel by email or phone before conversion to avoid being charged.
