This is a "friendly PC/PA" structure typical of multi-state telehealth: Curology, Inc. operates the non-clinical Website/Services/e-commerce, while the several David Lortscher, MD professional entities (one per state-type: P.C., P.A., S.C., Professional Association) deliver the licensed medical/telehealth care. Privacy Notice (same "Last Updated" cycle) additionally states Curology's "fully owned and operated brands" include Agency (see corporate_facts). Notice address: Attn: Legal Department, Curology, Inc., 6195 Lusk Blvd., Suite 250, San Diego, CA 92121. Governing law: California; venue San Diego County, CA; disputes via AAA binding arbitration.

Corporate facts
our-story.md: "Founded by Dr. David Lortscher in 2014, Curology has led the way in making personalized skincare accessible in all 50 states." Dr. Lortscher is a dermatologist who began prescribing multi-ingredient compounded topical formulas while practicing in New Mexico before founding Curology.

our-story.md: "Founded by Dr. David Lortscher in 2014, Curology has led the way in making personalized skincare accessible in all 50 states." Dr. Lortscher is a dermatologist who began prescribing multi-ingredient compounded topical formulas while practicing in New Mexico before founding Curology. Headquartered in San Diego, CA (ToS Notice address: 6195 Lusk Blvd., Suite 250, San Diego, CA 92121). Privacy Notice (privacy.md) states Curology, Inc. and the David Lortscher, MD entities operate "our fully owned and operated brands, including Agency" — Agency (withagency.com) is explicitly listed as one of the "Website[s]" covered by the same Terms of Service ("Company's websites located at https://curology.com, https://curology.com/shop, and https://withagency.com"), and ToS Section 11 confirms Agency has its own separate user- account system ("you cannot have both a Curology User Account and an Agency User Account"). Per the pages fetched this session, Agency reads as a currently-operating, fully-owned sibling brand (not a discontinued or fully-merged product line); no page fetched states Agency has been shut down or absorbed into the Curology product catalog itself. Business-line expansion: ToS Section 9A ("Weight Management Services and Medications") shows Curology has expanded beyond dermatology into GLP-1 weight- management consultations (medications including Zepbound (tirzepatide), fulfilled by a named Third-Party Pharmacy such as Eli Lilly Direct, billed separately from and not part of the dermatology Subscription Program) — out of scope for this skincare collection pass but material context for corporate scope.

How to cancel
Quoted from Curology's terms and help pages on Aug 15, 2026. Only the cancellation mechanism is in our words; everything else is the company's.
How cancellation works
- Cancellation mechanism
- self serve online
- Automatic renewal
- see terms belowRenews automatically until cancelled. ToS Section 3: subscription payment method "MAY BE PRE-AUTHORIZED AND WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED ON A GOING-FORWARD BASIS A FEW DAYS BEFORE EACH SHIPMENT OF PRODUCT BASED ON THE SUBSCRIPTION CADENCE IDENTIFIED WHEN YOU SIGNED UP." ToS Section 7 (Prices): "Company may change the price of any Service, Product, or Subscription Program... at any time. Company will provide current customers of the Subscription Program advance notice of any such change before it applies." No explicit statement of a right to reject a price change was found for the dermatology Subscription Program specifically (contrast: Keeps' ToS states this explicitly); not confirmed either way from pages fetched.
- Cancellation terms as published
- ToS Section 3 (Subscription Program Terms): "IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR PARTICIPATION IN OUR SUBSCRIPTION PROGRAM, YOU MAY DO SO BY CANCELING YOUR MEMBERSHIP IN YOUR USER ACCOUNT AT HTTPS://CUROLOGY.COM IN THE PAYMENT INFORMATION SECTION OR CONTACTING HELLO@CUROLOGY.COM. YOU MUST CANCEL AT LEAST TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE YOUR NEXT SHIPMENT IN ORDER TO AVOID BEING CHARGED FOR THE NEXT RECURRING SHIPMENT. CANCELLATION REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER THAT SHALL TAKE EFFECT THE FOLLOWING MONTH." A single prescription (rather than the whole membership) can also be canceled individually: "You may cancel an individual prescription by contacting hello@curology.com or your medical provider." Separately, ToS Section 22 (Termination) allows full account deactivation "at any time, for any reason, by sending an email to hello@curology.com," with medical records retained for at least 10 years (or until age 23 if younger) per applicable law.
- Refund policy as published
- ToS Section 6, "Satisfaction Guarantee and Refund Policy." Satisfaction Guarantee (Subscription Program, first-time subscribers only): to qualify for a refund you must (1) submit a Satisfaction Guarantee request form within ninety (90) days of the date of your initial trial order; (2) have completed at least two (2) check-ins with your Curology provider within that same 90-day period (one after the trial order, one after the first full-sized shipment); and (3) have uploaded photos in a message to your provider within that same 90-day period. If met, the refund covers (a) the initial trial shipment (excluding shipping and handling) and (b) the first full-sized shipment — "the Satisfaction Guarantee Refund" — limited to one refund per customer, first-time subscribers only. "Except as expressly provided under the Satisfaction Guarantee Refund, Services and Products purchased through the Subscription Program are not eligible for return or refund. Once a shipment has been billed and processed, it cannot be canceled." Non-Subscription Purchases (e.g. the OTC Acne Body Wash bought outside a subscription): "may be eligible for return for a credit or refund, in Company's sole discretion, provided that you contact hello@curology.com within fourteen (14) days after the date of delivery." Prescription Products purchased non-subscription are explicitly not eligible for return or refund. This 90-day "Satisfaction Guarantee" is the same guarantee referenced in marketing copy elsewhere as "See better skin in 90 days or get your money back" (offers.md, student-discount.md).
- Trial terms as published
- Uniform across every Rx skincare product page fetched: "Try Curology FREE* for 30 days when you subscribe—just pay $5.45 shipping & handling," footnoted "*Applies only to your first box. Trial lasts 30 days. Subject to medical consultation. New subscribers only. Restrictions apply." The trial box therefore costs $5.45 flat (shipping & handling only; the medication/consultation itself is free for that first box). CONVERSION MECHANICS: per ToS Section 3, the subscription auto-converts to recurring paid billing at the product's standing subscribe price (e.g. $29.95/mo for Custom FormulaRx) automatically after the trial box, charged "a few days before" the next scheduled shipment, unless the member cancels at least two (2) business days before that next shipment (see cancellation_notes). No separate "trial end date" reminder/notice mechanic is described on any page fetched. The 90-day Satisfaction Guarantee (refund_policy above) is a distinct, later-stage money-back mechanism layered on top of the initial 30-day/$5.45 trial, not a second trial period.

Not itemized as a company-wide list on any skincare page fetched. our-story.md: "Curology has led the way in making personalized skincare accessible in all 50 states." why-curology.md similarly: "Every Curology patient is paired with a dermatology provider licensed in their state." No skincare product page (Custom Formula, HydroTretRx, Day Prime, Body Cleanse, Hair Formula) states a state-availability carve-out or exclusion list. (Contrast: the weight-management line is explicitly state-restricted per ToS Section 9A — "Available medications and eligible states are identified on the Website and may change over time" — but that restriction is stated to apply to weight management, not dermatology/skincare.)
