About Us page lists institutional investors Founders Fund, Tiger Global, Threshold, Redesign Health, and Forerunner Ventures, with no mention of subsequent ownership changes — the on-site "About Us" and 2021-dated press-kit PDF (still linked in the footer) are stale and predate the events below. Per third-party reporting (not disclosed on joincalibrate.com; see data/evidence/calibrate/2026-08-14/corporate-history-research.md for full source list): founded 2019 by Isabelle Kenyon (CEO). In October 2023 Calibrate underwent a "legal restructuring"/recapitalization, taking on private-equity backing from Madryn Asset Management alongside existing investors (reported deal figures vary by outlet, ~$20-29M, not reconciled here), amid GLP-1 (Ozempic/ Wegovy/Zepbound) supply shortages the company could not fulfill, member complaints, "millions" in issued refunds during 2023, and two prior layoff rounds (~150 roles July 2022, ~100 roles April 2023). Section 6: after the 3-month Initial Term, the Agreement "will automatically renew for subsequent one-month terms" until either party terminates. Section 1.1: nonpayment triggers a 15-day grace period before the member "may be terminated from the Program."

No self-serve in-app/online cancel button is described in any public page (contrast with, e.g., Ro's in-account "Cancel Subscription" button). Cancellation Policy page adds a notice-period mechanic: "If you wish to cancel your membership, you must notify us 7 calendar days prior to your next billing cycle ... your cancellation will be effective as of the next billing date after the Initial Term." Cancellation is blocked structurally during the 3-month Initial Term in the sense that the remaining installments of the $597 commitment are still owed even if you stop participating (Section 6: no "waiver of any unpaid installments of fees during the Initial Term") — you can only stop future billing once the Initial Term has completed, subject to the 7-day notice window.
